The calculator
The calculator answers one question: at today’s market, what would this card class net per month after electricity?
The formula
Section titled “The formula”Net = (median − electricity) × busy × 720 hEvery part of it is a deliberate choice:
- 720 hours is a flat 30-day month, so two months are comparable.
busyis the occupancy share. Multiplying by it is what separates a realistic estimate from the number you get by assuming the machine rents every hour.- Electricity is charged for busy hours only. Idle draw is not counted — the estimate is about what renting adds, not what the machine costs to own.
By default the calculator uses the card’s rated TGP. If you run a power limit, edit the figure to match — otherwise the estimate charges you for watts the card is not drawing.
Every figure on the screen tells you where it came from when you hover it.
Reading it honestly
Section titled “Reading it honestly”Two habits keep this useful:
Check the depth behind the median. A confident net built on 4 offers is not confident. See market prices.
Compare it against your own listing, not instead of it. The table estimates at the market median — if your price is above it, your real income is a different number, and the panel notes what you are actually listed at.
