Market prices

Market prices help you compare your listing with offers for the same GPU model. Connect your Vast.ai account in Marketplaces to see Vast.ai prices.

Key metrics

  • Median: the middle price in the sample. Use it as a reference when setting your price, not as a guarantee of rental income.
  • Occupancy: the share of servers rented. For Clore.ai, Flotera counts it over its own sample of offers. The Vast.ai sample covers available offers only, so for Vast.ai the panel shows Vast.ai’s own figure for its whole market, read with your Vast.ai key and shown only to you. Hover the value to see who measured it.
  • Market depth: the number of offers in the sample. A small sample gives a less reliable basis for comparison.

Comparing marketplaces

Vast.ai prices cover available servers; Clore prices also include rented servers. A higher median does not necessarily mean higher earnings. Consider your actual rentals, server specifications, reliability, and fees.

The Vast.ai occupancy tooltip also shows free cards, the 30-day average, and Vast.ai’s own median as a cross-check. That median does not replace the sample median in the table.

Some sources show the marketplace’s own median, marked “their own figures”. Occupancy may be unavailable for these sources.

What moved

The What moved card on the Pricing page compares each measure at the start and at the end of the selected period: the median price and occupancy for every marketplace. A rise is green with ▲; a fall is red with ▼. Small changes are marked flat. A change in median price or occupancy does not by itself guarantee higher earnings for your server.

Missing or outdated prices

Data updates automatically. Check the last update time before using a price. If the panel asks you to wait, no reconnection is needed; follow the message shown there.

A dash means that the metric is unavailable, not that its value is zero. Not every GPU model has enough offers for a comparison.

A GPU model that has just appeared on the account gets Vast.ai prices within about half an hour of its first report; until then, its Vast.ai column shows a dash. If no marketplace has data for a model yet, its chart on the Pricing page stays empty.
