Market prices
Your price is neither high nor low on its own. It is high or low against what identical cards are renting for right now, and against how many of them are sitting idle.
The three numbers
Section titled “The three numbers”Median — the middle price for that card class on that marketplace. The median rather than the average, because a handful of absurd listings would drag an average somewhere nobody actually rents.
Occupancy — the share of those machines currently rented. A busy market tolerates a higher price; a quiet one does not.
Depth — how many offers the median is computed over. This is the number that tells you whether to trust the other two.
The comparison that does not work
Section titled “The comparison that does not work”Compare Vast against Vast over time, and Clore against Clore. To choose between marketplaces, use what your own machines actually earned on each.
Where the numbers come from
Section titled “Where the numbers come from”Sources are polled every half hour. A card class outside the popular-card catalogue, and not named by telemetry anywhere in your fleet, has no market index — the panel says so rather than showing an empty chart.
Some marketplaces publish only a floor for a class (“from $0.18/h”). A floor is not a median, and a monthly estimate cannot be built from it. That is stated on the row rather than silently substituted.
