Server states
A server has two independent statuses: agent connectivity and the working state on the marketplace. For example, a server can be online and idle at the same time.
Agent connectivity
Section titled “Agent connectivity”- Online: Flotera receives the agent’s activity signals.
- Offline: no signals for 5 minutes.
The Offline status indicates a lost connection to Flotera. The server itself and the rental may continue to work: the marketplace tile of the status strip says whether the marketplace still sees the server (see below). The Agent figure at the top of the card shows when the agent was last seen.
Working state

Marketplaces in the status strip
Section titled “Marketplaces in the status strip”A marketplace tile shows its price, service status and listing visibility. Hover it to read the reason. Red indicates a problem, amber a warning, and gray an inactive state.
Marketplace status
Section titled “Marketplace status”This status shows whether the marketplace can use the server.

Hover the status to read the cause. If a service is stopped or keeps restarting, check its log on the server. A stopped service triggers an alert after 3 minutes on a free server and immediately on a rented one.
Right after you link a marketplace, the tile reads No data for a couple of minutes — until Flotera reads the marketplace for the first time.
If the server is online but the marketplace does not see it, Flotera sends a critical notification — see alerts and notifications.
Offer status
Section titled “Offer status”The status with an icon. The State column of the table on the Marketplace tab shows the same status.

An offer is Hidden when you hid it, when Flotera paused it while the other marketplace rents the server, when the listing window has expired or is shorter than a day, when Vast.ai reliability is under 90%, when renters have not seen it for over an hour, or when the marketplace does not see the server. The marketplace-side reasons also send a notification. The hour starts when the marketplace sees the server: an offer of a server that has just come back online is Indexing first.
In the Your listings table
Section titled “In the Your listings table”Open Marketplaces → Your listings and check the State column. It shows the listing’s status and reason, or the number of rented GPUs and rental duration. Hover the row for details.
Why Listed and Idle are separate
Section titled “Why Listed and Idle are separate”These statuses distinguish a published server without a rental from a server that renters cannot see. The panel counts them separately.
Where the rental status comes from
Section titled “Where the rental status comes from”Flotera receives it from the marketplace rather than deriving it from GPU load. A change usually appears in the panel about 1–2 minutes after the data is updated on the marketplace. Synchronization problems increase the delay.
If the agent goes offline while the marketplace still reports a rental, the panel shows the server as Offline under an active rental and marks the rental as at risk — see server is offline.
Maintenance
Section titled “Maintenance”A maintenance window is tracked separately from the server status. It limits listing availability and pauses new rentals; running rentals must finish. Pricing rules exclude a server under maintenance.
