Flotera does not rent your machines. Vast.ai and Clore.ai do, and they keep their own commission. What Flotera does is hold your accounts on those marketplaces, keep listings in sync, and tell you when a rental starts or ends.

Connecting an account

You add a marketplace with an API key issued by that marketplace. Flotera stores it encrypted and never shows it again.

From then on it reads your side of that marketplace continuously. Listings and rentals that already exist there appear in the panel without you re-entering anything — connecting does not reset or replace what you already have.

One machine, one marketplace

This is the rule that costs real money

A machine can only be rented out by one marketplace at a time. If the same machine is listed on both Vast.ai and Clore.ai, both can rent it — and the second renter pays for a machine that is already busy.

Flotera warns you when it sees this rather than quietly picking a side.

There is a second, sharper version of the same problem. Marketplace agents manage the containers on their host, and some of them stop and remove containers they did not create. Two renting agents on one machine means one can kill the other’s tenant mid-job.

If both agents must stay on the machine, sell on only one at a time. An idle agent is harmless; a renting one is not.

Unlinking

Unlinking a machine from a marketplace only forgets the pairing on our side. Nothing changes on the marketplace — the listing stays live, because we do not own it. Past operations and earnings history are kept.

If you want the machine to stop being rented, take it out of search on the marketplace first, then unlink.

What Flotera can change

• Create, edit and withdraw listings.

• Take a machine out of search, and put it back.
• On Clore: which currencies you accept.

Everything else — payouts, account settings, verification status — stays on the marketplace, where it belongs.
