The three questions that cover most problems

Is the machine reachable? Offline means nothing has been heard from the agent for 300 seconds. See a machine is offline.

Is it being offered to anyone? Online and idle is a normal state, not a fault — and it is the one most often mistaken for a broken machine. See machine states.
