How a rental is noticed

Flotera does not infer a rental from GPU load or temperature. It reads the marketplace, and the state changes because the marketplace said so.

That is why it can be trusted, and also why it lags the real start by a minute or two. In a live run in August 2026, a rental was picked up about 90 seconds after it began.

What arrives

When a rental starts — a Telegram message with the rate and an estimate of what the rental will pay.

When it ends — how long it ran and what it earned. A short real example: ran ≈11 min · earned ≈$0.02.

Why the estimate is an estimate

At the moment a rental starts, its duration is unknown — the renter decides when to stop. The starting message extrapolates from the rate; the ending message reports what actually happened.

Only the ending figure feeds your earnings.

Why your earnings differ from the marketplace’s

Both numbers are correct, and they answer different questions.

The marketplace usually shows gross, in its own currency, at today’s rate. Flotera shows what actually reached you:

• net of commission — and the commission differs by marketplace and, on Clore, by the currency the renter paid in,
• converted at the rate that applied when the rental happened, not at today’s rate.

The rate is frozen at the moment of the rental

A rental paid in a currency that later moves does not change what you earned. Flotera records the currency and the rate at the time and does not retroactively revalue history — otherwise last month’s earnings would move every day.

A machine is in search but nothing happens

Being listed is not being rented. In order of how often each turns out to be the cause:

1. The price is above the market for that card right now. Compare against the median on the pricing screen.
2. The readiness check has not passed, so the marketplace does not put the machine in search where renters can find it — even though your listing exists.
3. Nobody is renting that card class at the moment. The occupancy figure next to the median tells you whether the market is busy or quiet.
