Groups and names

Use names to find a specific server and groups to select several servers by a shared attribute.

Names

You can change a name at any time. The server identifier, rentals, earnings, and history are preserved when you rename.

Choose a single format, for example warsaw-4090x8-04: location, configuration, number. If you service the hardware physically, use the same number on the case or in the rack.

Do not include the rental price in a permanent name: the name becomes outdated when the price changes.

Numbering

For text sorting, use the same number of digits: gpu-01, gpu-02, …, gpu-10.

Groups

A group lets you filter the fleet by location, owner, or hardware type. Choose the attribute you need in daily work.

Grouping helps you match servers when configuring prices and analyzing earnings. Check the scope of each pricing rule separately.
