Share a server
Before you share
Section titled “Before you share”You can share a server when:
- it is online and not in maintenance;
- no marketplace rents it;
- the marketplace accounts linked to it are connected and recently synced;
- no listing pause from an earlier rental is still open;
- it passes the host check.
If something is missing, the share window lists the reasons.
Create a link
Section titled “Create a link”-
Open the server card, go to Marketplace, and select the Direct rental row.
-
Select Share by link…. The window checks the host first. This usually takes about a minute and longer on the first run.
-
Set the link settings and select Create link.
-
Copy the link and send it to your guest.
Link settings
Section titled “Link settings”| Setting | Options | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Link valid for | 15 min, 30 min, 1 h, or Until… a date and time, up to 7 days | How long your guest can open the link and start the rental. Then the link expires. |
| Rental limit | Hours or Until date, from 10 minutes to 30 days | Hours count from the moment your guest starts. Until date ends the rental at that time, whenever the guest starts. The container stops by itself. |
| Show the server name to the guest | on or off | Shows or hides the server name on the guest page. |
Host check
Section titled “Host check”The check runs each time you open Share by link…:
- Docker and toolkit: Docker runs, and the NVIDIA Container Toolkit is installed and connected to Docker.
- GPU visible inside a container: a test container sees every GPU.
- Outbound tunnel: the server opens an outbound connection, so no inbound port is needed. Allow outbound HTTPS and UDP port 7844.
- Disk and marketplace daemons: there is enough free space under Docker, and no Clore.ai or QuickPod daemon is running.
If a check fails, fix the cause and select Check again. The same checks are on the Platforms tab, under Host system, in the Containers · Direct rental group. Each row there explains the requirement and the fix; Re-check runs the group again.
Manage the link and the rental
Section titled “Manage the link and the rental”Once a link exists, a Direct rental tile appears in the server’s status strip. Use its ··· menu or the Direct rental row on the Marketplace tab.
| Action | Available | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Copy link | while the link waits for a guest, in the browser where you created it | Copies the link again. |
| Extend… | while the link waits for a guest | Changes Link valid for and Rental limit. |
| Revoke link | while the link waits for a guest | The link stops opening at once. Your guest sees that it was revoked. |
| Stop rental | while the rental starts or runs | Stops the guest’s container and deletes it with its disk. Unsaved work is lost. |
| Open journal | once the guest has started | Opens the server’s Activity tab. |
The Direct rental row shows the state, the guest’s email, the template, and the time left.
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not shared | The server has no link. |
| Link active | The link waits for a guest. The tile shows when it expires. |
| Starting | Your guest has started; the container is being prepared. |
| Rented | The guest’s container runs. |
| Rented · paused | The server is offline. The rental keeps its end time. |
| Rented · restarting | The server is back. The guest’s container starts again with new addresses. |
| Stopping | The container is being removed. |
| Ended | The rental is over, and the container and its disk are deleted. |
| Failed | The container did not start. The row shows the reason. |
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Direct rental messages follow Rentals in your notification settings. Telegram reports when the link is created, expires, or is revoked, and when the guest’s rental starts, ends, or fails to start. If the server goes offline during a guest’s rental, you also receive an email.
