Referrals

Invite another host to Flotera with your referral link. When their servers have worked long enough in Flotera, you both receive Flotera Credits. Credits pay your Flotera subscription before your wallet balance.

The program counts only how long the invited host’s servers were online in Flotera. It does not depend on marketplaces, rentals, or particular servers.

Open Profile and select the Referrals tab. Under Your referral link, select Copy link and send the link to the host you are inviting. Each account has one link and it does not change.

The link opens sign-up with your code already filled in. A host can also enter the code by hand: select Have a referral code? and type it into Referral code. Letter case does not matter. The code is accepted only when the account is created and cannot be added or changed afterwards.

If the panel shows no Referrals tab, the program is paused. Links you have already sent keep working: a host can still sign up with your code. While the program is paused, invited hosts’ billed time is not checked. When the program resumes, each invitation is checked against its own qualification period: if the host reached the threshold within that period, you both receive the reward, however long the pause lasted; if not, the invitation expires. Credits you already have keep paying your subscription.

A referral counts when the billed time of all the invited host’s servers reaches the threshold within the qualification period. Billed time is the same value that Billing shows for the host’s own account: how long the servers were online and sending data, added up across servers.

The Referrals tab shows the reward amount, qualification period, billed time threshold and credit expiry.

Time adds up across servers: 70 hours on one and 35 on another make 105 hours. Compare that total with the threshold shown in the panel.

The threshold is checked against closed days: a day’s billed time is counted after the day closes at 01:00 UTC the next day. A referral can qualify before the period ends. Only billed time within the qualification period counts, so a delay in checking — for example, a paused program — can postpone the reward but does not change the outcome. The qualification period and the threshold are fixed when the host signs up; later changes to them apply to new sign-ups.

Invited hosts lists everyone who signed up with your link, newest first. The host is shown by a masked email, for example j***@example.com: you do not see their name, servers, or earnings. When an invited host deletes their account, its data is erased 30 days later, and from then on the list shows Deleted account instead of the masked email.

Column What it shows
Host the masked email of the invited account
Joined when the account was created
Progress the share of the threshold reached, rounded down; 100% means the condition is met
Status how the referral ended or that it is still running
Status Meaning
In progress the host signed up and no reward has been added yet: below 100% the condition is not met yet; at 100% it is met, and the reward is added at the next check, or once Flotera resumes rewards if they are paused
Rewarded the host met the condition and your reward was added; your amount is shown below the status
Qualified the host met the condition, but you received no credits for it: the program terms at that moment gave the inviting side no reward, or your account was suspended or being deleted then; the reason is shown below the status
Reward revoked your reward was added and later revoked by Flotera support; the amount that was added is shown below the status
Expired the qualification period ended without reaching the threshold, or the invited account was deleted

Once a referral is decided — Rewarded, Qualified or Expired — the outcome does not change. The one exception is a reward revoked by Flotera support: the status becomes Reward revoked, and the revoked credits are listed in Credits history.

Flotera Credits on the Referrals tab show your available credits and when the nearest ones expire. Credits are also shown next to the balance in Billing.

  • Credits pay daily subscription charges before money is taken from your wallet. Credits that expire first are used first.
  • Credits are valid through their expiry date in UTC. Credits that are not used by then expire.
  • Credits cannot be withdrawn, transferred to another account, or refunded. They pay only for your Flotera subscription.
  • Credits already added keep working even if the referral program is paused.

Credits history lists every change, newest first:

Entry Meaning
Referral reward credits for a referral; the second line shows when they expire
Credits from Flotera credits added by Flotera support
Subscription payment credits spent on a day of subscription; the second line shows the day
Expired credits that expired unused
Revoked credits withdrawn by Flotera support

In Balance history, a day paid with credits shows the full server fee and a separate Paid with Credits entry.

Flotera notifies you when you receive a referral reward, 14 days before unused credits expire, and when subscription payments use up your credits. These messages follow the Balance and credits setting in notifications.
